Interview in German relating to the film 'Into the white'. The film features Rupert Grint (of Harry Potter fame) and is based on the true story of German and British air crews, who were shot down in the snowy wastes of Norway in WW2 and who had to co-operate to survive. The interview is with German actor Florian Lukas (Goodbye Lenin!) about the shooting of the film, and is followed by questions in English.

This sets the students up for a playscript in which heart-throb Harry Styles has to ask the way to the station, having been given his marching orders by Taylor Swift. The script then becomes the basis for a writing task.

Activity featuring the 12 Olympics posters commisionned from artists such as Tracey Emin and Rachel Whitread. The Powerpoint aims to stimulate speculation, discussion, interpretation, a bit of guesswork, and suggestions for titles. Lots of questions in German to structure discussion and (hopefully) get the pupils thinking. The title of each piece can be revealed with a mouse-click once suggestions have been made.
